Biography
Karlyn Carnahan leads the insurance practice for Celent for North America.She is based in San Francisco and focuses on issues related to the intersection of business and technology with an emphasis on how technology can improve business practices.Karlyn is the lead analyst for questions related to distribution channels, product management and underwriting,core systems, customer experience and the technologiesand insurtechs that accompany those areas.
Her consulting work for insurance carriers includes distribution channel analysis, digital strategies, competitor benchmarking, IT assessments, more than 50 system selection projects as well as a wide variety of other strategic projects.
She joined Celent with an extensive career in the insurance industry and holds an MBA from Stanford Business School and a Certified Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. She has been an analyst since 2008 and with Celent since 2014. She can be reached directly at kcarnahan@celent.com.
