Looking Ahead to AFP 2022 – Next Stop Philadelphia!
With only a few weeks to go we are closing in on the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) 2022 Conference in Philadelphia. Thousands of treasury and banking professionals will come together to discuss the state of the industry, learn about new solutions, and hear case studies of innovators in the field.
Looking back over the last three years, it is amazing the changes in treasury technology, some of which were brought on by the pandemic.
- Many corporate treasuries adopted mobile banking solutions in droves. Earlier this year, Bank of America won a Celent Model Bank Award for the CashPro App.
- Look at where we have come with API frameworks to offer next-generation access to banking services. A report by my Celent colleague, Patricia Hines covers the API connectivity landscape in detail. API-Based Corporate-to-Bank Connectivity: The Connective Tissue Enabling Real-time Treasury and Payments (June 2022)
- And going further back to 2020, the CARES Act and the Paycheck Protection Program helped businesses stay afloat. Working in a technology role at that time, it was pretty amazing what solutions were developed without people ever meeting in an office!
As we roll into Philadelphia my own agenda is focused on solutions from banks and their technology partners to support corporate treasury working capital goals. In particular:
Insight-driven Treasury - moving beyond information reporting to embedded insights and analytics solutions for treasury clients.
Digital channels innovation – self-service tools and personalization services to improve treasury client experience.
Virtual Account Management - bank service offerings and technology solutions.
Contact us at info@celent.com if you would like to meet in Philadelphia. Patricia Hines and I look forward to see you there.
