Widely recognised industry expert strengthens market-leading insurance analyst team.

Celent announced today that Karlyn Carnahan, a former principal with Novarica, has joined its insurance practice as a Research Director focused on property/casualty underwriting, claims, distribution management, and insurance strategy in North America.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Celent team,” Carnahan said. “Insurers are looking for grounded, impartial research and advice about rapidly evolving technology. I’m excited to leverage Celent’s global network to explore how insurers are tackling similar issues across the world, as well as the innovations they are developing.”

Highlights of Karlyn’s career include:

  • Over 40 research and 80 consulting engagements advising on strategy for insurance clients over six years as an industry analyst.
  • Over 20 years’ experience from performing senior business leadership roles in marketing, product innovation, and commercial underwriting.
  • Startup experience with two Internet ventures: one targeting online distribution for insurance products, and another, which she founded, providing a service to help people securely organize their critical information.
