Abstract

The digital middle layer has been a constant and prominent topic with insurers looking to modernize their legacy architecture and to cater to new API-based services. How has this perspective evolve among insurers and solution providers, and what can we expect next?

We will take a look at Celent's earlier perspective on APIs and system architecture design for the insurance industry, followed by examining an evolution of architecture design. We will then provide perspective on the middle-layer architecture from survey and interview of insurers and solution providers.
