Synopsis: Merrill Lynch recognized the need for a highly sophisticated, “intelligent” advisor workstation that could enable advisors and their teams to provide holistic, personalized service and advice to their clients as efficiently as possible. In March 2020, Merrill launched the Client Engagement Workstation (CEW), a completely reimagined platform built in a browser-based format. CEW was designed to be responsive to laptops, tablets, or desktops, so that it can easily be used in any environment. The new workstation includes powerful functionality including Merrill’s Enterprise AI-powered virtual assistant (“Erica”) and new “Client Insight” alerts.
