Viva Las Vegas, Viva Nacha Payments 2023
It’s that time again, where Patty & I attend the Nacha Payments conference. This year it was in Las Vegas, after a long break from the city. Indeed, with the pandemic, it’s been nearly 8 years since I was in Vegas.
With recent events, both in banks and vendors, there were some absences, in part because it was in Vegas. Nobody’s fault – with venues booked so far ahead, no one could have foreseen where we find ourselves today- but a tricky optic with all that’s going on.
I was lucky enough to be speaking again, this time with Ulf Persson of SEEBURGER talking about our recent ISO 20022 report - full house, standing room only! The session landed well, with more than a few “lightbulb” moments visible in the audience!
There will a second blog shortly, talking about my US payments experiences, where I highlight just how different payments in the US are to other countries. It was no surprise then to see that the agenda was equally fascinating, with many topics that I’ve not seen discussed at other payments conferences elsewhere in the world – plenty of learnings and food for thought for all!
A few themes stood out in terms of sessions and discussions.
