Ranking the European Vendors of Wealth Management Technology 2009

Despite the latest financial slowdown, firms are still investing in wealth management technologies. With no doubt, firms will be more cautious in their technology decisions and vendors will have to adjust their offerings to meet the current client demands.

In a new report, Ranking the European Vendors of Wealth Management Technology 2009, Celent examines the leading European vendors in the wealth management market segment and provides detailed profiles of each vendor, followed by comparisons and rankings. The following ten vendors are included: Avaloq Evolution AG, Distribution Technology, Finantix, Odyssey Financial Technologies, Oracle Corporation, SAGE SA, SunGard, Temenos Group AG, TechRules, and Thomson Reuters. Vendors are grouped into front office and front to back office functionalities to provide a fair comparison.

"Over the past year wealth management technology providers have had to cope with more prudent and slower buying decisions from financial services organizations. Firms are still investing in technology to remain competitive, but they are being more cautious. Technology firms are responding by offering broader product offerings and following a more client-centric approach," says Isabella Fonseca, Celent senior analyst and author of the report.

The report begins with an overview of how the European wealth management market has evolved in the past 18 to 24 months, as well as a vendor preview of the main wealth management vendors in the space. A detailed profile for each vendor follows, identifying its strengths and weaknesses. Also included in the study is a vendor comparison section, which evaluates each solution’s features and functionalities and further compares vendors by number of clients, deployment options, and support schemes. The last sections include a vendor ranking through the ABCD dimensions and Celent’s future considerations of where wealth management software is headed.

This 74-page report contains 13 figures and 35 tables. A table of contents is available online.
