Blackrock, State Street, Vanguard, and More Weigh in on AI and Crypto at This Year’s TradeTech FX
I’m extremely excited to announce my participation as a speaker at this year’s TradeTech FX Conference. The conference dates are February 16–18, with more than 600 buy side professionals and trading solution providers attending. I’ll be moderating two sessions: one a keynote interview, the other a panel discussion.
The keynote interview will discuss how a particularly exciting branch of artificial intelligence known as deep learning is being harnessed to potentially change the way FX is traded. Guests will be Manu Choudhary, CEO of market maker DMALINK, and Aaron Hurd, Senior Portfolio Manager at State Street Advisors. The session will look at how AI is being deployed to improve liquidity management, predict trading anomalies, and offer traders scale by being able to process enormous amounts of data in fractions of a second. It promises to be a lively debate.
The conference organizers tell me that the panel discussion is looking to be one of the most anticipated and well-attended sessions of the conference since it deals with the hot topic of cryptocurrency. I’ll be joined by:
·Yudhveer Chaudhry, Global Head of FX Trading, BlackRock
·John Evans, Head of Digital Asset Strategy, Vanguard
·Dmitri Galinov, CEO & Founder, 24 Exchange
·Rosario Ingargiola, Founder & CEO, BOSONIC
·Konstantin Shulga, CEO and Co-Founder, Finery Markets.
Our discussion will cover a plethora of topics, starting with a look at barriers for full-scale institutional adoption of crypto currency. Additionally, we’ll discuss the rise of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and crypto’s implications for the financial system and FX markets. We’ll also look at how distributed ledger technology (DLT) is set to streamline back office processes and remove clearing risks. Finally, we’ll assess how you can achieve best execution within this most fragmented of asset classes.
It promises to be an excellent event, and I look forward to sharing insights post-event.
