Abstract

In our 6th annual review of CIO priorities and projects for Latin American insurers in Life and Health. Celent aims to answer: 1) What are the drivers of IT investment for Latin American insurers? 2) What is the planned level of activity regarding IT? and 3) What is the expected IT investment by Latin American insurers?

The objective of this report is to review current business trends facing the market and how they are driving IT investment and strategies.

Trends discussed in this report reflect Celent’s understanding of the market based on ongoing discussions with industry stakeholders and, specifically, interviews with selected Latin American insurance CIOs with responsibilities in 31 insurance companies located in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Uruguay.
