New technologies have provided great benefits over the years to insurers, enabling IT to provide expanded functionality, greater efficiencies, and increased performance. In some cases, they have changed the way insurers interact with customers, agents, and regulators. JoinBenjamin Moreland, Craig Beattie and Mike Fitzgerald, analysts with Celent’s Insurance Group, as theyexamine the technologies and system features that are changing the face of the insurance industry and link them to their predominant business benefits. This webinar will explore how ready certain technology is for the insurance industry or, perhaps, how prepared the industry is to take on the technology.

Technologies that will be examined in this presentation include those in the categories of claims indemnity control, efficiency and cost control, growth and retention, and risk and compliance. The end objectives are to increase the understanding of technology potential for business insurance executives and to strengthen the alignment of technology initiatives to desired business results.

This presentation draws on findings from Celent’s report Emerging Insurance Technologies: General (P&C) Insurance Industry Edition 2011.
