Biography
Cubillas Ding is a Research Director with Celent's Capital Markets division, based in the firm’s London office. His expertise lies in global financial markets, securities IT strategy, asset management solutions and workflows and enterprise risk management.
Cubillas' current research focuses on technology solutions for the asset management industry. He also has sector market expertise in market risk, credit risk, and operational risk. His recent consulting work involves advising clients on vendor solutions, and published extensive research on how the institutional buy side is embracing new technology to increase revenues, lower costs and comply with regulations.
He has been widely referenced in the press, including Wall Street & Technology, Risk Magazine, and Operational Risk & Compliance.
Before joining Celent, Cubillas was a senior analyst at Datamonitor. His research focused on IT strategies, key spending trends, and operational issues facing the asset management, investment, and securities services, corporate/commercial banking, and brokerage sectors.
Prior to that, he held positions at Euro RSCG Circle as a business consultant, at Hewlett Packard European Labs & Direct Marketing Association as a lead research analyst, and at Accenture's Financial Services Group as a consultant/manager. His responsibilities have included strategic business / marketing research, project management, and IT strategy planning.
Cubillas received a master's degree in international business from the University of Bristol and a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Monash University in Australia.
