Biography
Nathan Golia is a senior analyst in Celent's North American property and casualty insurance practice. Before joining Celent, Nate worked as a trade journalist exclusively focused on digital transformation in the insurance industry for 13 years. His last position was as editor in chief of Digital Insurance, formerly Insurance Networking News, where he led editorial strategy and content development starting in 2015. In that role, he also served as chair of and developed sessions for the brand's DIGIN: The Digital Future of Insurance and Women in Insurance Leadership conferences. Before that, he worked at Insurance & Technology, where in addition to reporting and editing he worked on the Elite 8 honorific program and accompanying Executive Summit.
As an analyst, Nate's goal is to help insurance companies identify winning paths for acquiring and retaining policyholders by leveraging data and digital across the value chain. His reporting career has covered all aspects of the insurance digital ecosystem including customer experience, legacy modernization, emerging technologies, the insurtech community and more. He's written about artificial intelligence, mobile technology, big data and advanced analytics, telematics and the internet of things, among other technologies, always in the context of insurance applications like claims, underwriting, distribution and strategy.
In addition to his brand's conferences, Nate has spoken at a wide range of insurance events including Insurtech Connect, IASA, AHOU, and Insurtech Hartford. He also has moderated and appeared in many web seminars and other online events.
Nate is a Western New York native and a graduate of SUNY Buffalo State with a B.A. in English. Today, he lives outside Charlotte, N.C. with his wife, son and daughter. He can be reached directly at ngolia@celent.com.
