Industry veteran strengthens market-leading insurance analyst team.

Celent today announced that Chuck Johnston, a long-time industry thought leader and former analyst with Meta Group, has joined its insurance practice. Johnston will be a Research Director, focused on group and individual life insurance technology and business strategies.

“I’m excited to be joining the Celent team,” said Chuck Johnston. “Forward-thinking yet practical industry research and advice is critical to insurers today as rapidly evolving technology both streamlines insurance business processes and changes the very nature of the business going forward.”

Highlights of Mr. Johnston’s career include:

  • Driving the insurance strategy at Oracle and managing the acquisitions of Adminserver and Skywire.
  • Leading the Callidus Financial Service’s Incentive Compensation System business to market leadership in the space.
  • Relaunching the Meta Group Insurance Industry practice to become the leading insurance advisory services practice of its time.
  • Fourteen years of life insurance carrier expertise with leadership roles in IT, business, and offshore outsourcing.
