  • Interesting analysis that sent me running to my Merriam-Webster to look up the meaning of "fissiparous." To save others time, here's the definition:

      tending to break up into parts :  divisive <fissiparous tendencies within a political party>

    What a splendiferous term! It's what one of my university English professors used to call a ten-dollar word. It practically leaps off the page and assures you that the writer is a master of concinnity.
