AIM Software, a leading provider of Enterprise Data Management (EDM) solutions for the global financial services industry, announces that a US-based Asset Management institution has selected AIM Software’s GAIN Security Master to replace its legacy system and streamline its data management.
The client is one of the world’s largest asset managers ranked in the top 20 globally (based on assets under management) and operates from multiple locations investing in a full range of asset classes.
AIM Software was chosen as the result of a comprehensive selection process involving all leading Enterprise Data Management (EDM) suppliers of the Financial Services industry. GAIN was selected due to AIM Software’s approach based on productized applications – a unique approach in the EDM vendors landscape – as well as its flexibility in modeling financial instruments.
A Director of Investment Operations from the firm comments: “It was imperative to modernize our data management foundations to streamline our data activities and to add the agility required to quickly address the new business imperatives within our industry. We liked GAIN’s approach to deliver a productized business application to help us get up and running quickly as well as the visibility of configuration and business rules available to our teams.
The firm has started the implementation of GAIN as a central data management platform across all asset classes. The project will deliver consistent and full reference data management across the research, trading, risk, compliance, and operational functions of the firm’s investment management activities.
Josef Sommeregger, Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer at AIM Software, comments: “Global asset managers are dealing with increasing transactions volumes, data sources, and asset types, coupled with more stringent regulatory requirements. As a result, institutions need to tackle more data quality issues whilst at the same time they need to improve accountability. The solution is an approach that helps firms deal with these constantly changing data requirements by centrally solving data quality issues across all data domains and by sharing clean and timely data across all functions and subsidiaries of the organization.”
Marco Sablone, Director of Sales for North America at AIM Software, adds “AIM Software is the only vendor to combine a modern data management platform with productized applications which deliver flexibility, efficiency, as well as a lower TCO over the life cycle of the application.
