Charles River Announces Global Shareholder Disclosure Service Leveraging aosphere's Rulefinder
Charles River, an enterprise-wide front- and middle-office investment management solution provider, today announced a new Global Shareholder Disclosure Service (GSDS), that helps subscribers comply with shareholder disclosure regulations. GSDS includes a global rule library, and proactive monitoring, notification and interpretation of global rules. The service leverages legal content from Rulefinder Shareholding Disclosure provided by aosphere, an affiliate of international legal practice Allen & Overy. aosphere provides Charles River with detailed legal information, and monitors and issues alerts on changes to global shareholder disclosure legislation. Charles River’s compliance experts write, adapt and test the rules within the subscriber’s Charles River Investment Management Solution (Charles River IMS) environment. “Each regulatory jurisdiction has different and complex rules that change often, and sometimes with little advance notice,” said Ed Fitzpatrick, Vice President, Managed Services, Charles River. “As asset management firms invest in new instruments, and trade or expand in new geographies, they must be able to rapidly comply with these rules. Charles River’s new service helps subscribers keep up with changes, understand the impact on their business and follow filing requirements, despite the numerous jurisdictions, regulatory bodies and languages involved.” “We’re pleased to complement Charles River’s compliance offering with our world-class Rulefinder service which provides a detailed analysis of global reporting obligations,” said Marc-Henri Chamay, Chief Executive, aosphere. Charles River has a dedicated team focused on writing and maintaining the GSDS rule library and providing ongoing support to meet client requirements. GSDS is one of Charles River’s Compliance Services offerings, which also includes the Compliance Rule Advisory Service which extends internal teams with rule-writing, maintenance and support, and Compliance as a Service (CaaS) that provides Charles River’s compliance software delivered as a hosted service with integrated data.
