Abstract

Viewed retrospectively, many great ideas are obvious.

But some great ideas are not at all obvious at an earlier point in time -- except to the person or organization who conceives and executes them before anyone else.

AXA XL's Construction Ecosystem meets this standard of a great idea.

For years, insurance technology firms have created ecosystems of dozens of solutions to supplement and extend their core system offerings.

However, some insurance company had to be the first to give its commercial policyholders access to an ecosystem of solutions designed to reduce policyholders' losses and to run policyholders' businesses better. This is the pioneering achievement of AXA XL's Construction Ecosystem. And this is why it is the Celent Model Insurer of the Year.

This report describes how AXA XL built the Construction Ecosystem, the value it provides to its construction industry clients, and how this ecosystem and perhaps similar ecosystems will grow in the next few years.
