Abstract
Insurers are pursuing digitization while challenging themselves to become customer centric. Some have gone the path of establishing greenfield direct digital initiatives, but many others want to bring a century-old industry’s methods and practices―built around intermediated distribution―into the modern era.
Is there a happy and rapid path for tackling this problem? Can today’s technology offer alternatives? The answer may be Azur Group’s Smart Home initiative. It is built on a digital platform and connects with its existing solution architecture and into third party data to improve the customer/broker experience and underwriting decisions. The use of a modern, cloud-native solution intertwined with customer-centered design principles has clearly differentiated this initiative.
