Abstract

Artificial Intelligence in Banking today is more smoke than fire.

AI is a broad umbrella under which exist a myriad of technologies and applications. Some have made inroads, while others remain purely in the realm of banking science fiction.

Despite the headlines, banks are slow to move into AI technology. 85% of institutions agree that significant change is on the way in the next 3-5 years, yet 32% are not investing in AI projects.

The sixth in Celent’s Digital Panel Series, this report probes institutions’ ideas about AI, examining definitions, use cases, and the level of investment.
