Impact Robos are Plentiful But Impact Technology is Sparse
    30th January 2018

I am currently researching technology that can assist with impact investment* selection, monitoring, and measurement. I had been hoping to find an abundance of companies using machine learning to measure investments’ impact, but have found few companies in this space even as investors have swarmed to impact investments. In the last two years, most of the major brokerages have revitalized and invested heavily in their impact investing platforms, established robos, e.g., Betterment and Wealthsimple, have added SRI portfolios, and the number of robo advisors that focus strictly on ESG stock screening selection or ESG funds is continuously growing.
