Abstract

Celent has released a new report titled Scenario-Based Financial Services: The Next Generation of Financial Distribution Channels. The report was written by Hua Zhang, analyst in Celent’s Asian Financial Services practice.

Today, scenario-based financial services have begun to appear in situations such as taxi rides, payments, etc. These services are the future of financial channels, and they will also have a profound impact on the design and innovation of financial products.

Scenario-based financial services are the integration of financial services (including: banking, securities, and insurance) into the work and lifestyle of users, where financial needs and various scenarios are linked together.

“The main business models include large Internet companies setting up their own financial institutions, these financial institutions extending into the Internet to realize a complete business system, and the development of small- and medium-size Internet companies in the vertical market, connecting users with financial institutions,” says Zhang.

This 20-page report contains eight figures and three tables.
