Abstract

Boston, MA, USA May 31, 2007

The market will become more competitive as more vendors grapple with the increasingly difficult task of portfolio construction.

Portfolio construction technology will reach a broader segment of the financial services market as interest in automating advisor portfolio construction features increases across the wealth management industry.

In a new report, , Celent examines five leading portfolio construction solutions in the North American market and the trends in this market.

"Portfolio construction features are drawing strong interest from all sides of the wealth management spectrum, including banks, broker-dealers, advisor firms, and money management companies," says Isabella Fonseca, author of the report. "Portfolio construction has become more difficult to administer, and advisors need to rely on technology for management and monitoring of client portfolios."

The report provides an overview of the wealth management vendor landscape in North America and includes an evaluation of each solution's features and functionalities, strengths and weaknesses, number of clients, deployment options, pricing structures, and maintenance and support schemes. The following vendors are included: AdvisorSoftware, CGI, Informa, RiskMetrics, and SunGard. Celent utilizes its ABCD Vendor View (Advanced Technology, Breadth of Functionality, Customer Base and Depth of Client Services analysis to evaluate the five firms.

The report is 54 pages long and contains 24 tables and 10 figures. A table of contents is available online.
