Abstract

Celent believes extremely powerful AI solutions for capital markets will be commercialized in the next two to five years. It’s time to start coding, or be coded.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is yet another enabler for the capital markets industry to face the current market infrastructure changes, and to be smarter with all the data they have available. Celent sees AI solutions being used throughout the trade lifecycle to enable change.

This report explains what purpose AI could serve in capital markets and digs into the types of AI that are used or will be developed to solve these issues. The report also looks at the vendors that are providing some of these solutions.

“AI solutions can lower the cost of many processes throughout the trade lifecycle, but also tackle the revenue side of the equation: research, sales and trading,” says Joséphine de Chazournes, senior analyst with Celent’s Securities & Investments practice and author of the report. “The deepest solutions that will combine big data analysis, correlation, and causal-based technologies on data, text, image, and voice will be more powerful in the future.”
